It is a potent and selective intranasal anti allergic agent that acts by several mechanisms. This drug is a competitive histamine antagonist that binds to the H1 receptor and due to the important role of histamine in the symptoms of rhinitis, drugs that inhibit this inflammatory mediator play an important role in improving these symptoms.
It is used in relieving the symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis in adults and children over 6 years of age.
This drug belongs to group C.
The use of this drug during pregnancy and lactation is permissible only if its benefits have been weighed against its harms and it is allowed only by the doctor's order.
Any medication in parallel with the desired therapeutic effects may cause some unwanted effects. In case of nosebleeds, nasal ulcers, and drowsiness, consult your doctor.
The dosage of each medication is determined by the doctor. However, the usual dosage of this drug is as follows:
Adults and children over 12 years of age:
2 puffs per nostril 2 times a day.
Children 6 to 11 years old:
1 puff in each nostril 2 times a day.
It is not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
