Supplement – Fat Soluble Vitamin
Although no specific side effects have been reported with the use of normal doses of this product, its use is allowed only with a doctor's prescription. Vitamin E passes through the placenta in small amounts and is secreted in milk.
It is recommended that you consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking vitamin E in the following cases:
- If you have a history of allergies to vitamin E or other substances, foods and protective substances.
- History of coagulation diseases, use of anticoagulant drugs or vitamin K use.
- If you use some products, especially cholestyramine, products containing iron, vitamin A, and oral paraffin.
In hypoprothrombinemia, it is contraindicated due to vitamin K deficiency and sensitivity to vitamin E. There are reports that very high and long-term doses (more than 800 mg per day) in susceptible people, an increased risk of bleeding in patients with vitamin K deficiency, changes in thyroid hormone metabolism, sexual dysfunction, and an increased risk of thrombophlebitis cause you to consult your doctor if any of the complications develop and persist.
