This drug belongs to the family of corticosteroids, which reduce the synthesis of arachidonic acid and reduce the concentration of prostaglandins and leukotrienes, and also increase the responsiveness of beta-adrenergic receptors in the airways.
It is used in the treatment of mild, moderate and severe asthma.
It is permissible to use this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding.that the benefits of using it should be weighed against its disadvantages.
• The use of this medicine is to prevent the occurrence of asthmatic attacks and it does not relieve the asthmatic attacks that have started. Therefore, it is recommended to take the drug at regular times even if you are taking other drugs to relieve asthma attacks.
• Take the medicine according to the doctor's order and at regular intervals, avoid taking too much medicine.
• Never stop the medicine suddenly without consulting a doctor, even if the asthma symptoms have improved.
• If any of the following occurs while taking the medicine, it is recommended to consult a doctor
• Any unusual stress such as surgery or injury to the body, contracting a viral infection such as measles and chicken pox, the appearance of infection symptoms, especially mouth, throat and lung infections, lack of recovery or worsening of disease symptoms.
• Keep the spray away from your eyes when using it because it causes eye inflammation. If the medicine comes into contact with the eyes, it is recommended to use cold water for washing.
• After taking each dose, rinse the mouth with water and throw it out. This prevents hoarseness, sore throat and mouth infection.
. • If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Then use the remaining doses at regular intervals. Never double the dose.
In parallel with the desired therapeutic effects, any drug may cause some unwanted side effects. Although all these side effects are not seen in one person or every time, but if any of the following side effects occur, consult your doctor:
Angioedema, respiratory spasm, cataract, difficulty in speaking, colitis, digestive problems, increased allergic reactions, increased intraocular pressure, nausea, ear and throat fungal infection, middle ear infection, pelvic inflammatory disease, tonsillitis, vaginal fungal infection and vomiting.
The dosage of each drug is determined by the doctor. But the usual dose of this drug is as follows:
Adults and children 16 years and older:
100 to 500 mcg, twice daily.
Children 4 to 16 years:
50 to 100 micrograms, twice a day
Children under 4 years of age:
the safety and dosage of the drug is determined by the doctor.
In mild asthma:
100 to 250 micrograms, twice a day.
In moderate asthma:
250 to 500 micrograms, twice a day
In severe asthma:
500 micrograms, twice a day.
Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
• Avoid taking expired medication or storing it for longer than needed.
• Store this medicine at a temperature of less than 30 degrees Celsius and in a place where there is no high humidity.
• Because the medicine container is full of gas and under pressure, avoid hitting it, puncturing it, or burning it, even if the container is empty.
• Avoid freezing the inhaler and keeping it at a low temperature, if the container is cold at the time of use, the effectiveness of the medicine will decrease.
