In 1960, a small company called Squibb Iran started working under the license of Squibb America in Tehran. At that time, the company's products were limited to a number of cardiovascular, antitussive and tonic corticosteroid drugs. With the glorious victory of the Iranian Islamic Revolution, all multinational companies, including Squibb, were nationalized and covered by the National Industries Organization.
