MechanismOfAction

It belongs to a group of drugs called corticosteroids, which reduce inflammation of the airways by reducing the synthesis of arachidonic acid and reducing the concentration of prostaglandins, leukotrienes, and reducing inflammatory cells and mediators.

Indications

Treatment and prevention of rhinitis and nasal polyps

Attention

It should not be use in individuals who are allergic to budesonide or other components of the formulation.

To minimize the systemic effects of the drug, patients should be treated with a minimum effective dose.

Medication may slow down growth in children.

The use of this drug in patients treated with cimetidine increases the blood concentration of budesonide.

The use of this drug in patients treated with ketoconazole, amiodarone, and other cytochrome P3A4 inhibitor drugs increases the blood concentration of budesonide.

The use of this drug in patients treated with carbamazein, phenytoin, phenobarbital and other drugs that increase the activity of cytochrome P3A4 decreases the blood concentration of budesonide

It should be used with caution in patients with rhinoplasty fungal infections or herpes infections.

Eye complications, including blurred vision, may occur during treatment with this drug. Therefore, inform your doctor of any changes in your vision.

If there is no improvement within 2 weeks, stop treatment and consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking if you have any of the following: Taking other corticosteroids for conditions such as asthma, allergies or skin rashes, tuberculosis, chickenpox or measles, heavy or frequent nosebleeds, glaucoma, eye infections, and diabetes.

If you are allergic to budesonide, avoid using this spray.

SideEffects

Approximately 5 percent of patients may experience the following side effects topically can be seen:

Local irritation, minor bleeding, nasal discharge, rarely angioedema, hives, dermatitis and itching.

The dosage of each drug is determined by the doctor. But the usual dose of this drug is as follows:

In children 6 years and older and adults :

1 puff (64mcg) It is taken in each of the nostrils in the morning and evening.

Maintenance

Keep the medicine away from the light at a temperature below 30 degrees Celsius and in a place without high humidity.
