MechanismOfAction

Beclomethasone is a corticosteroid and has a strong anti-inflammatory effect due to inhibition of the secretion of growth factors and cytokines from lymphocytes, eosinophils, macrophages, fibroblasts, and mast cells. It also reduces the amount and viscosity of sputum by reducing mucus secretion in the airways. Beclomethasone dipropionate controls the rate of protein synthesis as well as reduces the migration of multinucleated leukocytes and fibroblasts.

Indications

Prevention and treatment of allergic rhinitis, non-allergic rhinitis and nasal polyps in adults and children over 6.

The use of this drug during pregnancy and lactation is permitted by a doctor's order.

SideEffects

The dosage of each medication is determined by the doctor, but the usual dosage of this medication is as follows:

Adults and children 12 years and older:

1 puff per nostril, 2 to 4 times a day.

Children 6 to 12 years old:

1 puff per nostril, 3 times a day.

Children up to 6 years old:

It is not recommended for children under 6 years of age.

The dosage for older people is the same as for adults

If you forget to take one dose of the drug. As soon as you remember, take it. Then use the remaining doses at regular drug intervals. Never double the dose of the drug.

Maintenance
